What is the BCE Booster Club Scholarship and Conservatory

 
The BAMtheatre Conservatory Booster Club offers need‑based scholarships to ensure that talented young performers can participate in the BAMtheatre Conservatory programs, regardless of financial circumstances. The purpose of the scholarship is to make high‑level musical theatre training accessible to all students who are passionate about developing their craft. Key Points:
  • Scholarship(s) may be full or partial, depending on available scholarship funds.
  • Awards are paid directly to BAMtheatre and applied to the conservatory tuition.
  • Scholarships are ONLY awarded to students who audition and are accepted into a BAMtheatre

The BAM Conservatory Ensembles (BCE) offer professional training programs throughout the academic year for students who want to excel in musical theater performance. There are multiple levels to the program for students in Grade 2 through High School: BCE Prep, JrBCE and BCE.

Scholarship Eligibility

 Students entering grades 2–12 in fall of 2026 who plan to audition for the BAMtheatre Conservatory may apply. Applicants must demonstrate one of the following:
  • Current unforeseen financial hardship
  • Participation in a Federal or State assistance program (SNAP, Free/Reduced Lunch, TANF, Income‑Eligible Medicaid, Homeless/Refuge)
  • A combined household income at or below 375% of the Federal Poverty Line 

Scholarship Use

  • Awards may only be applied to BAMtheatre Conservatory not other BAM programs

  • Scholarships are non‑transferable

  • Awards are valid only if the applicant is accepted into a Conservatory ensemble through the standard audition process. 

Application Process

 

Apply Here to fill out and submit your application for the BCE Booster Club Scholarship. You will need to multiple financial documents and a name and email of a reference in order to submit your application.

 

Deadline: All materials must be submitted by 11:59 PM on July 15, 2026.

 

Selection Process

 

Process Details: A blind review process is used to ensure fairness and confidentiality

  • Identifying information is removed from all applications and assigned ID numbers
  • A Scholarship Review Panel—composed of community leaders, no Booster members or BAM staff—evaluates submissions using a standardized rubric.
  • Recipients will be notified by July 31, 2026, prior to the auditions.

To receive the scholarship, students must register for and attend BAMtheatre Conservatory auditions in August and be accepted into BCE Prep, JrBCE, or BCE.
